Turkey Chili
This stuff is like crack, especially during the winter! I found a similar recipe a while back but tweaked it a little bit. Every client I have had try this for a meal plan hasn't been able to get enough! It's so good it makes you feel like you are eating something you shouldn't!!;) If you're trying to change to a healthy lifestyle but are looking for something comforting and warm to eat, give this a go!
- 1 can black beans
- 1 can corn (optional)
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can white beans
- 1 can pinto beans
- 1 can chopped/diced tomatoes
- 1/2-1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 bell peppers of choice
- 1 red onion
- a couple fresh jalabpenos
- 12 oz 93/7 lean ground turkey
- Salt, pepper, garlic for taste
- I also add about a 1/4 cup of hot sauce (I'm a spicy freak)
Chop all veggies up and saute in 1-2 tabelspoons of olive oil or coconut oil. Once veggies are softened add in your ground turkey. Saute for a few minutes then add in your beans/tomatoes/sauce. Turn down and let simmer for about 20 minutes, check occasionally and stir.
Top with avocado, a sprinkle of cheese, a dollop of daisy, and some chopped green onions!
You wont be sad you made this, not to mention kids & husbands both love it and its a great meal to keep prepped in the fridge for a few days! It almost tastes better after a day of sitting!!
ENJOY!
